The Bengals began the game in dominant fashion, forcing saves from the Denison goalkeeper and continuously getting into dangerous positions. They were rewarded in the sixth minth of the game when sophomore Diego Rodas centered a pass to junior Gary Riveros for the games first goal. The Bengals continued the pressure but despite their 7 shots on goal in the first half, they could find the second goal. Meanwhile, Denison turned a free kick in to a goal with 19 minutes remaining in the half. The half would tied at 1-1.
The second saw more of the same from the Bengals as they poured on 14 second half shots with 10 going on target, while allowing no shots on target for Denison. Even with their opportunities, the breakthrough didn’t come until with 14 minutes left. Rodas would score the winning goal when he was put through by sophomore Jordan Munoz. Two minutes later, Munoz would find Rodas again for Braswell’s third goal. One minute later Munoz would complete the hat trick of assists when he found freshman Rennato Ramos at the top of the box, who would fire the ball into the Denison net. Sophomore Miguel Flores would add the final goal of the contest with 9 minutes remaining when he followed up a rebounding shot.
Then Bengals out shot Denison 25-6 over all and 17-3 on goal.
