Girls Golf

Mission Statement

My mission as a golf coach is two fold.  First, I want to improve the quality of golf played by today’s student-athletes and secondly create a positive learning and winning environment.  As student-athletes transition into high school they will begin to learn the intricacies of the game of golf and life.  As coaches, we aim to teach young men and women respect, values, and teamwork – life lessons through the game of golf.

A golf program under Coach Curtis will be based on the premise of solid fundamentals, mental and physical preparation.   Student-athletes that play on my teams will be mentally and physically strong on and off the course.  I believe that student-athletes should excel and lead by example.  It is a privilege not a right to play sports!  My coaching staff and me will make every effort to insure that the student-athlete succeeds on the course, in the classroom and in the community.

My teams will strive to produce a winning attitude and culture for which the school will be proud of.  The players and coaches are expected to be an excellent representative of our school and community at all times.  My program will strive to compete at the highest level and challenge for titles year in, year out.  Our goals are to have a successful program by winning and helping young men and women continue their education through athletics.

Unfortunately, not all players will have the skill set or ability necessary to play golf after high school.  However, the goal is that all players in my program learn from the character building experiences that golf can offer, continue their education, and become successful productive leaders in their community.
